We will be importing a brand new powder specifically designed for Cowboy Action Shooting. 
Tin Star is a single base nitrocellulose powder with certain properties that are similar to Black Powder (i.e. soft recoil), but without the bad characteristics of that propellant. Tin Star is reliable, burns clean with very little fouling, meters accurately and has the bulk density you want for reloading the old original Black Powder cartridges. We expect to have this powder in stock by the end of the month and we'll be testing it out and reporting back here with our findings. |

Our next show will be in Saskatoon at Prairieland Park on Friday May 14th. (6pm-10pm), Saturday March 15th. (10am-6pm) and Sunday March 16 (10am-4pm).
We'll be packin' a whole lot of guns including some very unique used guns.
Here's what we had on display at last September's Thorncliff show in Calgary, as you can see we had well over 30 guns on the table from black powder and early cartridge transition models to Bondarm derringers.

Here is some great news for those of you who can't wait to hone up on your Cowboy Action shooting skills. The Claresholm Community Centre is now open for Cowboy Action shooting with practice sessions on the second Monday of the month and a friendly competition on the 4th Monday of every month starting at 7:00 pm.
Costumes are preferred if you have one, and black powder is allowed. Eye and Ear protection is mandatory as with all shooting events, cost is $5.00 per person.
At last, here is a place we can practice at during the long winter months so spread the word and come on out and have fun.

We have just added a page that features specially modified guns for the Cowboy Mounted Shooter that are also ideally suited for the Cowboy Action Shooter as well. See the Cimarron Mounted page for more details.
We are now taking orders for the Ruger SASS Vaquero revolver two gun set. These were officially developed with SASS® for cowboy action shoooters. These guns are great for Mounted Shooters too.
This stainless two-gun set comes in consecutive serial numbers with the "SASS" prefix and a commemorative, red, two-gun carry case. They feature the lower and wider Montado-Style hammers for easier and more positive cocking and black checkered hard rubber grips with the SASS® logo grip medallion. The SASS Vaquero is available in both .357 Mag and .45 Colt.
